Evening/Twilight Paddle

  • 7:15pm - Interpretive lesson on the ways of the Voyageurs, canoe safety, the history of the Batchawana Region.
  • 7:30pm - Departure from the Batchawana Beach
  • 9:00pm - Arrival back at the Lodge
All of our Guides are certified in First Aid and CPR. Voyageur Adventurers should be in good physical health. It is necessary for all voyageur adventurers to be part of a team of paddlers.

We supply each adventurer with the following:

  • A CSA approved life jacket (which must be worn at all times in the vessel).
  • A paddle
  • An authentic Metis sash (for photo opportunities)
Each adventurer might bring along:
  • Rain gear,
  • A camera
  • Bottled water
  • Appropriate hiking footwear
  • Insect Repellent

The Voyageur Canoe Adventure. An Interpretive Experience showcasing the life of the Voyageur.

Step back in time, put on a Metis sash, and paddle an authentic voyageurs' travelers canoe.

Join us for a half-day or evening voyageurs adventure departing from the Voyageurs' Lodge & Cookhouse daily.

Our guide will lead up to seven Voyageur adventurers on a paddling voyage along Lake Superior, and up the Carp River.
