This year we are hosting a very special edition of Art on the Bay. In celebration of Canada 150, we are encouraging one and all to jazz up their booths Canada Style. Red and white, maple leafs, beavers. Anything that is iconically Canadian is encouraged. This year’s festival is set for Sat. Aug. 19th starting at 11am and extending until 5pm. Our lawns will be adorned with the beautiful work of numerous artisans, artists, crafters, woodworkers, jewellers, painters, photographers, etc. We even have a singer/songwriter, Mark Dunn, playing on the bandshell stage.
This year we are featuring the graffitti street art wall produced by Al Bjornaa. Over 160 artists from 20 countries have their art portrayed on this wall. This unique one of a kind display will be the backdrop for Mark Dunn on our Bandshell stage.
We have cool beverages on the patio, ice cream is being scooped, and fresh apple fritters will be served up first thing in the morning. So load up the car with all of your friends (we encourage car pooling) and head on up the highway to Batchawana Bay and the Voyageurs’ Lodge.
And remember – leave the pets at home for this one.
See you in the Bay next Saturday.
