Count Down To Canada 150 – OH, Poutine!!!!

Posted: June 06, 2017 by Frank O'Connor

Poutine, the word derives from the English word pudding. It is the most common Quebec French word around. It is a combination of French fries topped with cheese curds and hot gravy. It is said to have been invented in 1957. We don’t care when, we just know its gooooood!! Served up at the lodge the regular way, or with cheddar and gravy, or with curds and sausage gravy, or with ground beef curds and gravy. The possibilities are endless. If you are looking for a great comfort food any time of the year, poutine is it.  Now served up at breakfast too in the cookhouse with our Batchawana Sunrise poutine and the poutine option with all our breakfast homefries.
