So the nation is having a party. From coast to coast to coast there will be birthday cake, fireworks, bbqs, hot dogs and everything from bagpipes to voyageur canoes.  Bands will rock festivals, faces will be painted, and families will get together for the greatest long weekend of the year.  If fact, the last 150 years.
The Nation’s Capital is going to let loose like never before, and you can expect that whatever community you happen to be in on Saturday – it is just going to be a blast. Do not let a little rain put a damper on your plans – just dress for it and wave the flag anyways.
Here at the lodge, we have a prop booth set up where you can dress up and take Canada Day Selfies. We are offering our world famous 2-for-1 Moose Antler Dessert at 5pm.  At 8:30pm-ish Frank Deresti and the Lake Effect is taking to the stage to entertain the waiting crowd, and the first 150 patrons in the Bandshell get a free Canada Day cupcake.  Then at 10:20pm our fireworks spectacular blasts out over Batchawana Bay.
