Thomas Kind is a brilliant writer who infuses humour and wit into a very serious story. An Order of Canada recipient, he has taught at the University of Lethbridge, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Guelph. Thomas, of Cherokee and Greek ancestry,writes this historical narrative with help from his beautiful wife, Helen, who often provides another idea to add to the pot. His message is sadly on the mark, and by the end of the read, you might rethink your own relationship with our First Peoples.
